Shipping Information

Orders will be processed within 2 business days. All shipments must be shipped to a physical address (no post office boxes or postal stations) within Canada, no exceptions. All orders are shipped from our warehouse in Calgary, Alberta. Once your order has been confirmed, we will ship your order and send you an e-mail with the details of your shipment. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

At Laptop Depot we do not profit from shipping. We offer the rates that we receive and pass the savings directly on to our customers. For orders containing multiple items, shipping costs will be based on the combined weight of the shipment.


Warranty and Return Material Authorization (RMA) Information

Laptop Depot is a registered division of Just Notebooks Canada Inc. All systems and monitors are shipped from our operations centre in Calgary, Alberta. The following is our Warranty and Return Policy statement for Laptop Depot. Laptop Depot cares a great deal about customer satisfaction, and we make every effort to ensure that our refurbished computer equipment meets your every expectation. For the rare occasions where there is a problem with the quality or functionality of your equipment, we ask that you follow our warranty and return policy procedures.


Warranty Statement

Unless otherwise negotiated and specified in writing, all Laptop Depot laptops, notebooks, desktops and monitors come with a 90-day warranty. All accessories come with a 30-day warranty (this does not include any pre or post installed software e.g. operating systems, anti-virus or office suites). At our discretion, during the warranty period we will fix or replace any equipment found to be defective or we will issue an in-store credit. Warranty is limited to the hardware only. We do not provide assistance with setting up Internet accounts, other software installs or the installation of the operating system. The warranty does not cover damage to the equipment or operating system as a result of misuse or other end user installed software. Batteries are considered to be a consumable item and therefore are not covered under the warranty.


How to Obtain Customer Service

If you have a problem or question about your computer equipment, the first thing to do is call our customer service department at 1-800-268-9262. Our friendly customer service representatives will listen to your particular problem or question and recommend a course of action. If the customer service department authorizes you to send damaged or defective product back to Laptop Depot, you will be issued a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. Please note that an RMA number will only be issued during the warranty period. You will be asked to follow the steps detailed below.


In Store Return Conditions and Limitations

  1. All items should be returned to the Laptop Depot retail location that it was purchased from in proper packaging with the original purchase receipt.


  2. Our technical staff will then fix or replace your damaged or inoperable equipment.


  3. If the product returned is found to be in normal working order or if the technical problem is the result of misuse or end user installed software we will at our discretion offer one of two choices:


    1. Issuing a credit less a 25% restocking fee and original shipping cost, or,
    2. You will be charged a $60 inspection fee and the cost of repair plus shipping to have the product returned to you.

  4. All products returned for credit must be complete (i.e. all manuals, keyboards, cables, a/c adapters, external CD-ROMs or floppy drives, etc.)


Online or On-the-Phone Shopping Return Conditions and Limitations

All items should be returned to Laptop Depot at the address below in proper packaging to avoid any shipping and handling damages. The customer is responsible for paying any shipping charges back to Laptop Depot and for insuring its contents, if desired.

  1. The RMA number must be plainly marked on the outside of the package.


  2. Our technical staff will then fix or replace your damaged or inoperable equipment. We will then ship the repaired or replacement product to you at our expense.


  3. If the product returned is found to be in normal working order or if the technical problem is the result of misuse or end user installed software we will at our discretion offer one of two choices:


    1. Issue a credit less a 25% restocking fee and the original shipping cost, or,
    2. You will be charged a $60 inspection fee and the cost of repair plus shipping to have the product returned to you.

  5. RMA product must be returned within 7 days of receiving the RMA number to Laptop Depot.
